Privacy Policy

marianasmall.ai is the personal website of Mariana Small, based in Santa Monica, California. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, who handles it, how long it is kept, and how to ask about it. It also covers my Claude Code tips site at fun-claude-code.netlify.app, which uses the same analytics and the same hosting.

What this site collects

Website analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits: how many people come, which pages they read, how they found the site, and roughly where in the world they are. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell one visit from another. The tag on this site turns off Google's advertising features and Google Signals, so this data is not used for ad targeting or ad personalization, and I do not sell it.

Server logs. Netlify hosts this site and keeps standard request logs, which include IP addresses, browser type, and the pages requested. Netlify uses those logs to run and secure its service.

Nothing else. There are no forms, comment boxes, newsletter signups, or accounts on this site. The email links open your own mail app; the site itself never sees or stores what you write. If you email me, your message sits in my mailbox like any other email.

Because this site loads Google Fonts and Google Analytics from Google's servers, Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

Why

To see whether the guides on this site are useful: which pages people read, how long they stay, and where readers come from. That is the whole reason. Nothing here is used for advertising.

Who processes it

• Google (Google Analytics and Google Fonts). Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy (opens in new tab).
• Netlify (hosting and request logs). Netlify's privacy policy is at netlify.com/privacy (opens in new tab).

Both companies include data processing commitments in their terms. I do not share your information with anyone else, and I never share it with third parties for their own marketing.

How long it is kept

Analytics data is kept on Google's default retention settings for this property: event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months, after which Google deletes it. Server logs are kept on Netlify's retention schedule. I do not keep separate copies of either.

Your choices and your rights

Opt out of analytics. Google's browser add-on (opens in new tab) blocks Google Analytics on every site you visit. Blocking cookies in your browser settings also works.

Ask or request deletion. Email mariana@resonantgrowth.ai. Analytics data is not tied to a name, so there is usually nothing to look up, but if you believe the site holds information about you, write to me and I will check and delete what I can.

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and not to be treated differently for asking. I do not sell or share personal information.

International visitors

This site is run from California, United States, and is written for readers there. If you visit from outside the United States, including the European Union or the United Kingdom, your information is processed in the United States under the terms above.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the dates at the top change with it. Changes apply from the date shown.
